The Software Distribution and Access Control System (SODIACS™) is a flexible, secure and reliable software distribution system that enables software providers to distribute software to customers. It allows software providers to control which customers can retrieve certain software packages, and to be in compliance with export control rules mandated by various governments.
Feature Highlights
SODIACS™ supports role-based access control, enabling simple definition of access control policies via roles. SODIACS's predefined roles flexibly map to vendor and customer organization structures. All download actions are logged.
Every download attempt is checked against applicable government export control rules. Export control restrictions are enforced independently of entitlement grants. Downloads that are blocked by export control check can be reviewed and mitigated to correct false positive matches.
SODIACS™ is hosted in a secure facility with a highly-available and scalable infrastructure and 24x7 monitoring. It is also hosted in a remote disaster recovery facility with real-time data replication from the primary facility.
Software customers may retrieve entitled software products via a web-based GUI, or an API compliant to the OCI Distribution Specification. Regardless of which interface is used, the same access control and export control enforcement mechanisms are applied.
